The 40th annual Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education (WAEE) conference is combined this year with the first ever Green & Healthy Schools Institute, August 13-15, at UW-Stevens Point. Join educators, administrators, students and others interested in environmental education from around the state on field trips and participate in hands-on workshops to learn new teaching techniques. Sessions include the nine Green & Healthy Schools focus areas including energy, water, transportation, community involvement, and environmental/sustainability education.

Futre of Alternative Fuels Workshop and Showcase

The workshop, hosted by Wisconsin Clean Cities, will give attendees the opportunity to discuss experiences with alternative fuel users and experts. Topics include natural gas, propane, electricity, ethanol, biodiesel, and hydrogen. A showcase will be held at Kwik Trip Alternative Fuels Station from 1:00 - 3:00 pm where vehicles wil be on display. Speakers are from International Motorwerks, Kwik Trip, PERC, La Crosse Police Department, ANGI Energy Systems, XCEL Energy and Organic Valley.
