Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Webinar: Advances in EM&V – DOE’s Uniform Methods Project and M&V 2.0

May 23, 2017
12:30 p.m.

Efficiency project and program impacts have been assessed using evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) methods for some 40 years. Recently, there have been significant advances in EM&V. This webinar covers two major areas of improvements - DOE's Uniform Methods Project (UMP) and M&V 2.0. Under the UMP, DOE has and is continuing to develop protocols for determining savings from commercial and residential energy efficiency measures and programs, as well as cross cutting protocols. M&V 2.0 is a term app lied to advances in the measurement and verification and evaluation of efficiency measures and programs.  This webinar will discuss what M&V 2.0 is, how it varies from conventional whole building data analysis, its benefits and limitations, and its applications. A recent LBNL white paper on this topic will also be discussed.
