Keynote speaker will be David Orr of Oberlin College. One breakout session will examine bioenergy crops and sustainability.

On-Farm Energy Production from Anaerobic Digestion Webinar

This free webinar, hosted by UW-Extension, The State Energy Office and UW-Madison, will cover the basic principles, operation, and economics of anaerobic digestion systems in an agricultural setting.  Information will  include current limitations and constraints of the technology and areas where there is potential to make significant advances in digestion systems within the United States.  Viewers will be able to see pictures from a number of operating systems to better understand the components and scale of these systems.

The Kwik Trip Alternative Fuels Department, Wisconsin Kenworth and the Kriete Group will host this free educational seminar about Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a vehicle fuel. It will detail CNG retail experience and infrastructure, clean cities, and a CNG vehicle display. This networking opportunity will have two break out sessions - “Light Duty”  and “Heavy Duty”. The target audience is area businesses with a vehicle fleet and other interested parties.

They are open to the public, yet pre-registration is required (closes the day before at 5:00pm CST). The webinar format means you don't have to leave home or work to attend, but an internet connection is required. If you don't have access to the internet, check each webinars individual registration/information page to see if your local University Extension office is hosting the webinar.
